My name is Caterina Calsamiglia and I am an assistant professor at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. I got my PhD from the Department of Economics at Yale University. My research focuses on Public, Welfare economics and Distributive Justice. So far, I have analyzed theoretically and experimentally issues like the implications of equality of opportunity for policy design, the effect of different forms of affirmative action in competitive environments, and how positive notions of justice depends on effort and incentives. In the context of a school choice matching problem, I have analyzed how restricting the number of schools that can be included in the list of preferences affects the evaluation of standard matching mechanisms. I have also done research on testable implications and approximation of Consumer Behavior. |
