The XI Premi Catalunya d'Economia has been awarded to Lionel Artige, Isabel Busom (coordinator), Walter García-Fontes, Inés Macho-Stadler, Xavier Martinez-Giralt, and Rosella Nicolini, for their study La situació de la innovació a Catalunya.
The Premi Catalunya d'Economia created in 1991 by the Societat Catalana d'Economia, affilitated to the Institut d'Estudis Catalans, is awarded to the best research study on the catalan economy. It is sponsored by the Caixa d'Estalvis de Catalunya with 10,000€.
The Institut d'Estudis Catalans, the academic, scientific and cultural corporation whose sphere of action covers all the Catalan speaking countries, was founded in 1907 with the goal of promoting the high scientific research, specially in all the fields of Catalan culture.
The jury of the XI Premi Catalunya d'Economia is composed by Pere Puig i Bastard, Artur Saurí del Río, Joan Mª Esteban Marquillas, Guillem López Casasnovas, Joaquim Muns i Albuixech, Andreu Mas Colell, Narcís Serra Serra, and Joan Elias Boada, acting as secretary.
