Professor Inés Macho-Stadler was recently elected to serve on the EARIE Executive Commitee for a mandate of five years beginning immediately following the General Assembly.

The European Association for Research in Industrial Economics (EARIE) was created in 1974 following an initiative taken by Frederic M. SCHERER, Jürgen MUELLER and Keith COWLING. The aim of the Association is to provide a professional society for academics and practitioners with an interest in the field of Industrial Economics. *EARIE* consists of its members, an Executive Committee, as well as two sub-committees (the Scientific Committee and the Local Organising Committee) that are chosen each year to organise the Annual Conference.
